-
- : : Mac haters are usually computer literate... people that know computers.
-
- : Perhaps COMPUTER literate, but that's not what I said, is it? Nooo...
- : I said MAC literate. As in having a solid understanding of and

- : that is truly Mac literate.
-
- MAC literate = ? know how to turn multitasking on? learn how to mac the
- mac stop crashing (I'm sure it require lots of skill:)? learn how to
- make a PPC make go fast and not make you wait for every IO?
-
- I didn't see how to do any of those and more in the little apple bubbles :(
-
- : : Mac users are people that are scared of computers, or people that are

-
- Ouch! :) Can you tell me why you love macs? and when did you get one?
-
- : : The Mac is too user friendly, and think people are so dum that it doesn't

-
- : MY mac is fast and responsive. (Incredibly fast, actually.) Perhaps
- : you are one of the previously mentioned Mac illiterates that thinks 5-6

-
- My 030 amiga seem way faster then the powerPC mac I used... for IO and
- video. I'm sure single 'loop' run faster, but in overall usability it
- fails.
-
- : : : There are plenty of competent programmers out there. Unfortunately, not
- : : : many of them are good DESIGNERS, and that's equally important. A

- : : : alleged best and brightest seem to have a great deal of trouble making
- : : : programs that are truly well designed--user friendly and functional.
-
- : : Apple should hire alot of 'trained stoned chimps', maybe it would raise
- : : the usability of the OS vs trying to be an overly "slow cartoonish
- : : mothery protective" system.
-
- : Maybe. Are you available? (Cartoonish? Have you recently taken a
- : look at the feature set the Mac OS boasts? It's hardly a simple,
- : 'kiddish' OS.)
-
- I'm sorry, but little bubble showing something like "This little button
- is to close a window" gave me the above impression. Slow from the dayli
- usage :)
-
- When I programed on the mac I was crying to get a hold on aux and see
- if it would make this mac usable.
-
-
- : : But I guess macs are good for elementary school and such as kids first
- : : computer, just hope they wont get frustrated from them :) And to avoid
- : : a desaster better tell them that they are real computer out there!
-
- : That they are real computer out there? :-) Ah, no need to rewrite
- : it, I know what you meant. But, when all the bull dies down, the Mac is
- : still the best personal computer out there, IMO. Better hardware and
- : interface than Wintel, with lots of software and hardware cheaply and
- : readily available.
-
- The HW might be nice (specially in those Hi end mac), but the system7
- is a nightmare... I just feel traped with no control under the mac OS,
- waiting for stuff to happen a bit to often.
